BJP was looking for a strong Sikh face

After splitting from the Akali Dal in Punjab, BJP has been looking for a strong Sikh face in Punjab for a long time, who can give political life to the party in Punjab and is acceptable among the Hindu community as well. Such Captain Amarinder Singh fits perfectly in both the formulas of the BJP, because he is a seasoned leader in the politics of Punjab. He maintains a strong hold between both the Sikh and Hindu communities of the state.

Captain Amarinder Singh’s name is very big in the politics of Punjab, which is known and recognized in other states of the country outside Punjab. The BJP is trying to give a big political message to Punjab through the Captain and to capitalize on his political experience in the 2024 elections.

The timing of Captain’s joining BJP is such, when the fabric of opposition unity is being woven regarding the Lok Sabha elections. In such a situation, BJP is looking for political life through the Captain of Punjab.
