Uttarakhand / Dehradun : The nurse was raped on the pretext of marriage, the accused arrested after five months

The accused of raping a nurse on the pretext of marriage has been arrested by the Nehru Colony police station from Rishikesh. A reward of Rs 10,000 was also announced on the accused. The incident of rape came to light five months back, the accused was absconding since then.

The victim had complained on 13 April 2022

On Monday, Senior Superintendent of Police Dalip Singh Kunwar told reporters in his office that the victim had complained to the Nehru Colony police station on April 13, 2022. In which told that she is a nurse in a private hospital and is divorced.

Took it to the hotel saying birthday

In the year 2020, he got acquainted with Vipin Gusain resident of Kandisaur Tehri Garhwal. One day in November 2020, Vipin took her to a hotel located in Haridwar bypass, saying that it was his birthday. There the accused proposed marriage and then raped her.

After this, he raped the woman several times at her house as well, due to which she became pregnant.

Then the accused got the abortion done by saying that on coming to know about this, the family members would not allow the marriage. After this the woman became pregnant again, but Vipin did not marry her.

This time due to mental stress, the woman had a miscarriage.

After this the accused stopped talking and meeting with the woman. On this, in April 2022, the woman reached Vipin’s house in Kandisaur. There the relatives of the accused insulted him and the accused also reneged on the promise of marriage.

10 thousand reward was announced on the accused

After registering a case in this case, the search for the accused was started, but he was nowhere to be found. In such a situation, on August 29, the Senior Superintendent of Police, Dehradun announced a reward of Rs 10,000 on the accused. The accused also went to the High Court for anticipatory bail, from where he did not get relief.

The accused was constantly changing whereabouts and used to use mobile phones and SIMs of friends to contact relatives. Meanwhile, on Sunday, on the basis of information received from the informer, the Nehru Colony police station arrested the accused at the interstate bus stand in Rishikesh. The accused was trying to escape somewhere.
