In the last three months, more than 12 people have been attacked by Guldar. Out of which 3 were made by Guldar as his morsel. At the same time, the movement of Guldar has increased in the populated areas of Kotdwar, due to which there is a fear among the people.
Incidents of Guldar attacks are continuously coming to the fore in Yamkeshwar including Lansdowne, Srinagar in Pauri district. In the last three months alone, 12 incidents of Guldar attack have been reported in Lansdowne Forest Division alone. Which includes from women to children. At the same time, even in the areas of Kotdwar adjacent to the forest, Guldars are entering the colonies as soon as it gets dark. Due to which it has become difficult for people to come out of their homes.
3 People have made morsels
Guldar terror has increased a lot in the area. From day to day Guldars keep attacking from cattle to humans. In the last three months, Guldar has made 3 people his morsel. Two cannibals have been caught by the forest department and sent to the rescue center. But there are still many more Guldars who are making people swoon. In such a situation, people have also been instructed by the forest to give them away from the forest when it is dark.
Speaker of the Assembly expressed concern
Due to the fear of Guldar, people are forced to live life in the shadow of fear. People have demanded from the government to take concrete steps regarding Guldar. Assembly Speaker Ritu Khanduri has also expressed concern in the growing case of Guldar. He said that the officers of the Forest Department have been instructed to work diligently. Regarding the whole matter, DFO Lansdowne Dinkar Tiwari said that forest personnel have been deployed in those areas where Guldar is more visible. Along with this, efforts are being made to keep the Guldar away from the populated areas.
