Praveen had told that under the conspiracy, the accused had married Geeta alias Saloni by giving fake Aadhar card, fake name and address and taking three lakh rupees. The SP said that a police team was deployed to nab the gang, in which Geeta alias Saloni and Ashfaq were arrested by the police. He told the police that he used to look for people in the villages in whose family a young man or person is looking for a girl for marriage. Taking such people into confidence, they used to get Geeta married. Four days later, Geeta used to abscond from the house with money and jewellery. Not only this, accusing them of harassing and beating for dowry, the police used to collect money by showing fear. Geeta has likewise done four marriages so far.

SP Rajesh Kumar said that this gang was targeting people for a long time. He has collected money by marrying many people in Haryana, Uttarakhand and western Uttar Pradesh. When the money was collected, the accused used to divide, in which Geeta used to take 50 percent share. Police is trying to arrest the absconding accused.
