Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the environment ministers of various states today. In his address here, PM Modi said that today’s new India is moving ahead with new thinking and new approach. Today India is a rapidly developing economy and is continuously strengthening its economy. PM Modi said that we have seen how the construction of modern infrastructure in the country was complicated in the name of environment clearance.
Where you are sitting in Ekta Nagar is an eye-opening example. How the Urban Naxals, the development opponents had kept such a big project Sardar Sarovar Dam on hold. Its foundation stone was laid soon after the country became independent. Sardar Patel played a big role in the integration of the country.
The first Prime Minister of the country, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, inaugurated the Sardar Sarovar Dam.
Laying the foundation stone, but all the Urban Naxals came in the field. It is an anti-environment campaign and it has been stopped again and again. The PM said that the work which was started by Nehru ji was completed after my arrival.
The PM said that the environment portal is a single window system for all types of environment clearance. Earlier it used to take more than 600 days to get the clearance. Today work gets done in just 75 days. The rules are also taken into account in giving environment clearance and the development of the people of that area is also taken care of.
