Disclosing the matter on Friday, ASP Kotdwar Shekhar Suyal said that Ankita Bhandari (19), a resident of Srikot of Nandalsun Patti in Pauri Garhwal, used to work as a receptionist at Vanantra Resort. She mysteriously went missing on 18 September. His disappearance was lodged at the Revenue Police Chowki on behalf of the owner of the resort Pulkit Arya.

Nothing was known of Ankita till Thursday. After this the matter was transferred to Laxmanjhula police station. After this, when the police investigated, the role of the operator of the resort and its managers came to the fore. During interrogation with the staff of the resort, it was found that on September 18, around 8 pm, Ankita had left the resort with the owner of the resort Pulkit Arya, manager Ankit and Bhaskar. After this, all three of them returned to the resort at around 10:30.

Ankita was not with him. On this basis, when the police interrogated the three in custody, they spewed out the whole incident. He told the police that he used to ask Ankita to have a relationship with the customers coming here. Ankita was telling this thing to everyone.

She was repeatedly threatening to reveal the reality of the resort. There was controversy about this matter. Before the girl’s body was found, her parents had lodged a complaint that she had been missing since Monday. The girl’s (Facebook) friend reportedly said that on the night her friend was murdered, he called her and told that she was in “trouble”.

According to reports, the victim had told her friend that the owner and manager of the resort was forcing her to have sex with the guests who came to the resort. According to a Facebook friend, there was no contact with the receptionist at 8:30 pm. According to her, when she could not be contacted even after repeated attempts, she called the owner of the resort Pulkit Arya who told her that she had gone to her room to sleep.

According to a Facebook friend, when he allegedly called Arya again the next day, his phone was still switched off. Then she called the manager of the resort Ankit who said that he was in the gym. Resort owner Pulkit Arya, resort manager Saurabh Bhaskar and assistant manager Ankit Gupta were arrested on Friday and sent to 14-day judicial custody. Pulkit Arya, the main accused in the case, is the son of Haridwaj’s BJP leader Vinod Arya. Vinod Arya has been the President of Uttarakhand Mati Kala Board.

On Friday, when the accused were being taken to the court in Kotdwar, an angry mob attacked the police vehicle. The mob broke the glass of the car and beat up the three accused. Some women in the crowd demanded that the accused be hanged. In Bhogpur, people pelted stones on the resort in protest and broke the panes of its windows. Taking action late on Friday night, the administration started demolishing the resort. He said it was made “illegally”.

The body of the receptionist was recovered from the Chila canal on Saturday morning. The alleged killers had thrown him in this. Police said that the post-mortem of the body is being done at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Rishikesh. On the question of alleged delay in taking action against the alleged criminals, the Director General of Police said that the matter was transferred from revenue police to regular police on Thursday and the accused were put behind bars within 24 hours.

Meanwhile, a fire broke out in a pickle factory near the resort. This has led to doubts whether it is an attempt by the accused to destroy the evidence. Renuka Devi ji and ordered an in-depth investigation of this serious matter.” Alleging poor security situation, demonstrations were held at district headquarters on Saturday.

State Congress President Karan Mehra said the girl went missing on September 18 and an FIR was lodged four days later. “It shows that the state government is not serious in its action. Women are not safe in Uttarakhand. The resort has just been partially demolished.
