After the name came in the Ankita murder case, BJP took immediate action and expelled Pulkit Arya’s father Vinod Arya and brother Ankit Arya from the party. Let us tell you that Ankita was working as a receptionist in Vanantara Resort located in Gangabhogpur. She was working here since August 28 of last month, but since September 18, she went missing under mysterious circumstances. After investigation, the police arrested three people including Pulkit. On Saturday, Ankita’s body was recovered from the Shakti Canal of Chila Power House. Ankit’s post-mortem took place today at AIIMS Rishikesh. Yamkeshwar MLA Renu Bisht, who reached AIIMS, also had to face heavy opposition from the villagers. It is known that the angry villagers had also stopped the police vehicle carrying the accused of killing Ankita Bhandari on the Chila-Haridwar road.

After encircling the police car, the angry villagers started beating the accused. The anger among the people was so much that they started pelting bricks and stones on the vehicle. There was also a clash of villagers with the police. Seeing the matter increasing, the police had dispersed the people by using mild force. There is a lot of displeasure among the people after the incident. The crowd gathered at Gangabhogpur Chowk, about 14 km from Rishikesh, stopped the vehicle by standing on the road. Angry people started beating the accused in the vehicle. The villagers were so angry that they even attacked the vehicle.

On information, ASP Shekhar Suyal reached the spot along with the police force and chased the people using light force. ASP Shekhar Suyal said that the accused were being taken to the court amid tight security, but angry villagers stopped the vehicle and thrashed it.
