Uttarakhand : Ankita dies due to drowning, injury marks seen on her body, PM’s detailed report will be available on Monday

The post-mortem of Ankita Bhandari’s body went on for about five hours on Saturday at the mortuary dissection home of All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Rishikesh. The bisra has also been kept safe for examination. After this the body was handed over to the father. The preliminary report of which has been given to the police administration. In this, marks of injury have been told on Ankita’s body before death. The prima facie cause of death is said to be suffocation by falling in water. The detailed report will be available by Monday.

The post-mortem started at around 11:00 am, the post-mortem went on till four in the evening. Harish Mohan Thapliyal, Public Relations Officer of AIIMS Rishikesh said that two faculty (Acharyas) and two resident doctors were included in the panel of four doctors. District Magistrate Pauri Dr. Vijay Kumar Jogdande, SSP Pauri Yashwant Singh Chauhan, SP Dehat Dehradun Kamlesh Upadhyay, Additional Superintendent of Police Kotdwar Shekhar Suyal, Deputy District Officer Yamkeshwar Pramod Kumar and other officers were present till the post-mortem was over.
Deputy District Magistrate Rishikesh Shailendra Singh Negi said that along with the panel of doctors, a videography team was also set up. The body of Ankita Bhandari was sent from here to Srinagar.
