Uttarakhand : CM Dhami’s gift to the girl child on the first day of Navratri, transfer of ₹ 323 crore 22 lakh through PFMS to 80 thousand beneficiary girls under Nanda Gaura scheme
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Monday attended the program organized by the Department of Women’s Empowerment and Child Development at Mukhya Sevak Sadan, Chief Minister’s residence, Dehradun. CM Dhami made a digital transfer of ₹ 323 crore 22 lakh through PFMS to 80 thousand beneficiary girls under Nanda Gaura Yojana. On this occasion, Chief Minister Dhami presented 5310 girls of 2017-18 session, 460 girls of 2018-19 session, 1567 girls of 2019 – 20 session, 16210 girls of 2020 – 21 session and 56177 girls of 2021 – 22 session, in this way. Transfer of funds through digital medium to 80 thousand underprivileged beneficiary girls.
Happy Navratri to the people of the state
While wishing everyone a very happy Shardiya Navratri, the Chief Minister said that on this auspicious occasion, I feel fortunate to transfer money to the daughters of the state, he said that our government is determined to make the future of every girl child of the state excellent and bright. Daughters have an important contribution in fulfilling the resolve of our government, today in every field, daughters and women are performing better than men, daughters will play an important role in the resolve taken by the government to take the state forward in every field.
Tribute paid to Ankita
While paying tribute to the late Ankita Bhandari, CM Dhami said that the government is with the bereaved family members in this hour of grief. He said that such incident with our daughters creates anger in the mind, he said that the guilty people responsible for this incident will not be spared at all, people who do injustice to daughters have no place in our society and state. No, he said that SIT has been constituted for speedy investigation of this case and action will be taken through fast track court for speedy punishment to the guilty involved in this case. CM Dhami said that the honor of daughters is the honor of the government, he said that the insult of the daughters of the state is an insult to the government, he said that by speedy and fair investigation of this heinous crime on our daughter Ankita Bhandari, strictest action will be taken against the culprits. This will prove to be an example for the criminals who commit such heinous acts.
Cabinet Minister Rekha Arya, who was present in the program, while congratulating the Shardiya Navratri said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had started the Maha Abhiyan of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, this Nanda Gaura Yojana should also be taken in the same context to make the girl child strong and self-reliant. She said that we should make dynamic progress in the overall development of every girl, from the birth of a girl child till her education and marriage, the government always stands by her, he said that every girl child has the right to develop her potential. If given full opportunity, with this it will be called both the land of God and the land of goddesses.
Cabinet Minister Rekha Arya informed that under Nanda Gaura Yojna from 2017-18 to 2021-22, an amount of ₹ 323 crore 22 lakh has been transferred through PFMS to 80 thousand beneficiary girls and this year from 2022. The whole process will be done online so that the eligible girls do not have to make rounds of government offices to get these benefits, where they girls understand their duties, and their role and contribution to the society in future. So that in the coming time, he contributes to the development of the country as well as the state of Uttarakhand.
