Air hostess raped in Delhi, victim locks the accused in her room and calls police

The Mehrauli police of South district has arrested a local leader of the national party for raping an air hostess. Accused Harjeet Yadav raped the air hostess in her house under the influence of alcohol. After the incident, the victim, showing intelligence, locked the accused inside and informed the police. After getting the victim’s medical examination done, the police registered a case and arrested the accused.

The accused was produced in the court on Monday. The court has sent the accused to judicial custody. It is being told that the accused is the block president of the party and his wife had contested the municipal elections. South District Deputy Commissioner of Police Chandan Chaudhary said that the victim, who lives in Freedom Fighter Enclave, Mehrauli, is an air hostess by profession.

The victim is basically a resident of Sambhal. The victim has said in her complaint to the police that she was looking for a rented house. During this, he got acquainted with Harjeet Yadav on Facebook. After which he started talking on the phone and the two became friends. It is alleged that on the night of September 25, at around 9 o’clock, the accused reached the victim’s house under the influence of alcohol and raped her there.

On protesting, the accused also assaulted the victim. There was also a scuffle between the two. The victim came out of the house after pushing the accused and closed the door from outside. The victim informed the police with the help of a neighbor. After the information, Mehrauli SHO PC Yadav reached the spot along with the team and caught the accused from the spot. Medical examination has confirmed that the accused had consumed alcohol. The medical examination confirmed the rape of the victim.
