Uttar Pradesh / Unnao : Mother’s funeral was going on, son jumped in the Ganges in sorrow, brother and 2 nephews came to save, both missing

Four people of the same family jumped into the Ganges during the funeral of their mother in Unnao district of UP on Friday. Seeing everyone drowning, local people and boatmen present on the spot rescued two people but two people went missing as they went into deep water. Search is on for the missing people through divers.

Accident happened during mother’s funeral
According to the information, a 70-year-old woman resident of Ruri Sadipur village of Behta Mujawar area died on Thursday due to illness. The relatives were informed that the last action was postponed for a day so that the family members who live far and wide could come. On Friday afternoon, all of them had reached Nanamau Ganga Ghat to perform the last action.

Saddened by the death of his mother, the son jumped in the Ganges
After setting the dead body on fire, everyone was in mourning, meanwhile Mintu, a son of the deceased, jumped into the Ganges after being saddened by the death of his mother. Seeing his brother drowning, another brother Kamlesh jumped into the Ganges to save his brother.

Father and uncle were saved but two nephews drowned
It is said that both brothers Mintu and Kamlesh were somehow coming to the shore, in order to support their uncle and father, Kamlesh’s two sons Rakesh and Akash also jumped into the water, meanwhile somehow the father and uncle of the youth were caught in the local water. The men and the sailors got out safely but both the sons of Kamlesh went missing as they went into deep water.

Divers are searching
Information reached the spot, police are searching for the missing youths of local divers. The incident has been confirmed by CO Bangarmau Pankaj Singh.
