26 killed, more than 20 injured due to tractor-trolley overturning in UP, Yogi government bans tractor-trolley ride

After the tractor-trolley overturned accident in Ghatampur, Kanpur, the Yogi government has woken up after hearing the cries of the relatives of the dead. Taking a lesson from the accident, the Yogi government has taken a big decision. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has ordered that from now on, passengers should not be taken on tractor-trolley in any district of the state. Tractor-trolley should be used only for carrying goods. Instructions have also been given for strict action against those who violate this order. CM Yogi said that if anyone is found doing this, then the administration should take strict action against him.
Let us tell you, on Saturday night, near Gambhirpur village in Saad police station area, a tractor-trolley full of devotees went uncontrollably and overturned in a roadside pond. So far 26 devotees have died in the accident, while more than 20 devotees are said to be injured. All of them were residents of Kortha village of Ghatampur tehsil area. A person from the village had gone to Chandrika Devi temple located in Fatehpur district to attend the shaving ceremony of the child. There, after the completion of the mundan rites, they were returning back to the village on a tractor-trolley, when they became a victim of an accident.
CM Yogi expressed grief over the painful accident
At the same time, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has expressed grief over the incident. He tweeted and wrote, “The road accident in Kanpur district is very heartbreaking. The District Magistrate and other senior officers have been directed to reach the spot immediately and conduct relief and rescue operations on a war footing and make arrangements for proper treatment of the injured. Wishing a speedy recovery to the injured.”

Police conducting rescue operation at the spot
Top officials of police-administration are present at the spot. Police forces of nearby police stations are conducting rescue operations on the spot. Local people are also helping the administration to get the injured out of the pond. With the help of an ambulance, the seriously injured have been admitted to Halat Hospital in Kanpur, while those who are apparently injured are being treated at a nearby CHC. CM Yogi said that no negligence should be taken in the treatment of the injured. The injured should be given better treatment.
