Stoltenberg told a press conference that Putin had mobilized millions of troops and now illegally took over Ukrainian territory. All this shows the highest tension since the start of the war. NATO reaffirms its unwavering support for the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine. “We stand firm in our support for Ukraine as it defends itself from Russian aggression,” he said. US President Joe Biden has also said that the US will continue to provide military aid to Ukraine.

Putin on Friday formally annexed four Ukrainian cities of Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson and Zaporizhzhya with Russia. In his speech, Putin targeted the West and the US in particular. He accused America of genocide and said that countries around the world were attacked by false accusations and killed millions. Putin said that Western countries looted India and now their eyes are on Russia.
