Team India Legends became champion for the second time in the captaincy of Sachin Tendulkar, century Veer Naman Ojha scored the most runs in the tournament

In the Road Safety World Series T20 2022, India Legends team led by Sachin Tendulkar created history by defeating Sri Lanka Legends team by 33 runs in Raipur. The team won this title for the second time in a row. Electing to bat after winning the toss, the team of India Legends scored 195 runs for 6 wickets in 20 overs with the help of a century innings by wicketkeeper batsman Naman Ojha. In reply, Sri Lanka Legends could only manage 162 runs in 18.5 overs.

India Legends did not have a good start. Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar was dismissed in the very first over by Nuwan Kulasekara. After this Suresh Raina also could not do anything special and got out after scoring 4 runs in 2 balls. After this Vinay Kumar came to bat and he hit 4 fours and 1 six in 21 balls. Yuvraj Singh scored 19 runs in 13 balls. Irfan Pathan scored 11 runs.

Naman Ojha scored the most runs in the tournament
Naman Ojha scored an unbeaten 108 off 71 balls with the help of 15 fours and 2 sixes. He scored the most runs in this tournament. He scored 266 runs in 6 innings of 6 matches at an average of 66.50. During this he scored a century and a half-century. Shane Watson of Australia Legends was at number two, he scored 239 runs in 5 matches at an average of 47.80. Vinay Kumar took 3 and Abhimanyu Mithun took 2 wickets. Apart from this, Rajesh Pawar, Stuart Binny, Rahul Sharma and Yusuf Pathan took 1-1 wickets.

Sri Lanka got off to a poor start in reply to the target of 196 runs. Veteran Sanath Jayasuriya was dismissed in the second over after scoring 5 runs. Dilshan Munavira returned to the pavilion in the third over itself. Captain Tillakaratne Dilshan was also dismissed after scoring 11 runs. Upal Tharanga scored 10 Ashley Gunaratne 19 and Jeevan Mendis got out for 20. For the team, only Ishan Jayaratne showed the struggle and he was dismissed after scoring 51 runs from 21 balls.
