Aishwarya’s film made record, fourth day’s bumper earnings

The film Ponniyin Selvan, directed by Mani Ratnam, earned about Rs 64 crore on the third day. The film was successful in earning around 78 crores on the first day of release. Similarly, on the second day too, the film had collected around Rs 60 crore at the box office. In this way, the film easily entered the 200 crore club during the weekend.

Ponniyin Selvan is based on the 1995 novel by Kalki Krishnamurthy.
