Yasir, the main accused in the murder of Jammu and Kashmir’s DG Jail Hemant Lohia, was arrested, the police is interrogating

Yasir Ahmed, the main accused in the murder of Hemant Kumar Lohia, Director General of Police, Jammu and Kashmir Prisons Department, has been arrested. The accused is being questioned by the police. The accused has been arrested from Kachanak area. The police had been raiding since night to nab the accused. According to the information, accused Yasir Ahmed was hiding in the fields of Kachanak area and had thrown his mobile phone before absconding.

According to the Jammu and Kashmir Police, accused Yasir Ahmed used to work as a domestic help at the residence of DG Jail. He was serving with the officer for the last about six months. Earlier, to nab the accused, the police had also shared his picture with the public and appealed that anyone who gets information about the accused, should immediately inform the police.

Important evidence found in the hands of the police

According to the police, in the preliminary investigation, such documentary evidence has been found which shows about the mental state of the accused. The police had informed by quoting sources that the accused was of aggressive nature and was in depression. According to sources, the documentary evidence found by the police includes the diary of accused Yasir Ahmed. There are indications from the diary that the officer was murdered by the accused. Whatever is written in the diary indicates that he has been in depression for a long time.

The police had informed that the accused Yasir Ahmed is originally a resident of Ramban. The police had collected several CCTV footage, in which the accused was seen running after the incident.

This terrorist organization took responsibility for the murder

The responsibility of killing the officer has been taken by issuing a press release on behalf of the terrorist organization PAFF, which has links with Jaish-e-Mohammed. However, the police have said on the basis of preliminary investigation that it is not yet clear whether this is a terrorist incident or not. However, the police have also said that as long as the investigation is on, no possibility can be ruled out.

Terrorist organization PAFF has said that one of its special squads has killed Director General of Police (Prisons Department) HK Lohia as part of an intelligence operation in Jammu’s Udaiwala as a valuable target. The terrorist organization further said, “This is a small gift for the Home Minister who is on a visit to Jammu and Kashmir amidst the security net.”

Let us inform that Union Home Minister Amit Shah has come on a three-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir. Home Minister Shah has called for a report from the police. Hemant Lohia, a 1992 batch IPS officer, was posted as DGP Jail in August. It has also come to the notice that burn marks have also been found on his body. Hemant Lohia was murdered late on Monday (October 3) by slitting his throat.
