In fact, a 74-year-old woman gave birth to twins at 10.30 am on Thursday at a hospital in Guntur city of Andhra Pradesh. Mangayamma, who conceived through in vitro fertilization (IVF) procedure, gave birth to twins at Ahalya Nursing Home here. This is the world record for becoming the oldest mother. Earlier, 70-year-old Daljinder Kaur was considered the oldest woman in the world to give birth to a child. Kaur from Haryana gave birth to a baby boy through an IVF process in 2016.
