Uttarakhand : The exercise of giving revenue areas to the regular police started: Chief Secretary held a meeting with the high officials of the state

Chief Secretary Dr. S. s. Under the chairmanship of Sandhu, a discussion was held with the District Magistrates and Superintendents of Police through video conferencing with regard to giving the revenue areas of the state to the regular police in the Secretariat on Thursday. During the meeting, the Chief Secretary said that the proposals for the areas which need to be included immediately for inclusion in the Regular Police should be sent soon. In areas where regular police stations, reporting posts or area expansion are required, proposals should be sent at the earliest. He said that Uttarakhand being a tourism state, considering the immense potential of women’s work in the hospitality sector, we all have to work proactively. The Chief Secretary said that the areas where tourism or commercial activities have increased in the recent past should be included in the regular police on priority. He also directed DGP Ashok Kumar to determine the category of heinous crimes and immediately register the FIR by handing over the cases of heinous crime in the revenue areas to the regular police.
Additional Chief Secretary Radha Raturi said that registration or any other system should be developed for women working in any part of the state in which she can register her information that she is working here, so that if any untoward incident happens. When the information is available immediately. The Chief Secretary said that the police will have to work proactively in this. He instructed the DGP to start a mobile app in which the working women can register their information, as well as a system like call center should also be prepared which would ask these women their well being after some time interval. Special attention should also be paid to its promotion. Women and their families should also be made aware about this. DGP Law and Order V.
