Goods worth lakhs were gutted due to a fire in a junk store located on Haridwar Road on the night of Diwali under Kotwali. Fire brigade vehicles that reached the spot extinguished the fire in some way. There was a fire here on the night of Diwali.
Prima facie it is believed that the fire broke out in the store due to fireworks. Due to the fire in the cardboard kept in the store, all the goods got burnt. Member Ishwar Rauthan said that the information was given to the police and fire brigade. Fire brigade vehicles doused the fire.
He told that huge lines of high tension were going from above the store. After informing the officials of the Energy Corporation, the current was turned off in them. The arson was brought under control late in the night. No casualties occurred.
