In the report of the Central Statistical Organization, Uttarakhand is included in the top-10 list of expensive states

Professor of Management and Economist at UOU Prof. RC Mishra says that there can be many reasons for the high inflation rate in a state. A major reason is that if the productive capacity of a state is weak, the rate of inflation will be high. Also, there are two types of inflation. One depends on cost and the other on demand. If the inflation rate is high in Uttarakhand, then not much work can be done at the state government level in this matter. The central government has a big role in this. However, Uttarakhand should increase its production capacity. This reduces inflation at the local level.
