One day Sambit Patra will also say that BJP is a dirty party…’ Kejriwal in roar at Ghazipur landfill site
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal reached the Ghazipur landfill site falling under the Municipal Corporation limits of Delhi on Thursday. He lashed out at the BJP-occupied MCD here. Kejriwal said that BJP has given Delhi 3 mountains of garbage in 15 years.
Taking a jibe at Bharatiya Janata Party spokesperson Sambit Patra, Kejriwal said, “One day Sambit Patra will also say that BJP is dirty and AAP is a good party.” Kejriwal called himself a magician at the landfill site. He said that I have to abuse, but a day will come when all the BJP people will join AAP.
Before the visit of Delhi CM, BJP workers staged a protest at Ghazipur landfill site. Taking a jibe at BJP’s performance, Kejriwal said, ‘I am a magician, I am a magician. I know to win hearts, will work for the people. Not like them (BJP) will stand with black flags. He further said that we earn merit. Like Congress has become zero. Similarly, one day BJP will also become zero.
Kejriwal challenged that BJP should tell what work has been done in MCD in last 15 years. He further said that BJP should ask me what work we have done inside Delhi. There is no need to ask me this, only the people of Delhi will tell what work the Aam Aadmi Party has done in Delhi.
Targeting Home Minister Amit Shah, Kejriwal said, ‘Home Minister Amit Shah came. He abused me. They accused me of not giving funds to the Delhi MCD. I want to ask the Home Minister how much fund you have given to MCD in Delhi? They run away from their responsibility by calling Delhi a Union Territory.

CM Kejriwal had announced to visit the Ghazipur landfill site on Wednesday itself. He had said, ‘I asked one of their (BJP) leaders – what work did he do in the municipal corporation in 15 years? He shyly told two works. Build three big garbage mountains and litter the whole Delhi. Tomorrow morning (on Thursday) I will go to see their Ghazipur garbage mountain. You will also come.
MCD elections can be announced anytime
The preparations of the Delhi Election Commission and political parties are indicating that the Delhi Municipal Corporation elections 2022 can be announced anytime. The Central Government has issued a notification that there will be a total of 250 wards in the Integrated Delhi Municipal Corporation and 42 wards reserved for Scheduled Castes (SC). Earlier the reserve ward was 46.
AAP had leveled allegations of delay in elections
After the notification of the central government came, Delhi BJP President Adesh Gupta had said that the BJP is ready for the elections. Earlier, the Aam Aadmi Party had accused the BJP of not holding elections for fear of losing the elections. There is a lot of discussion in political circles that Delhi Municipal Corporation elections can be held along with Gujarat and Himachal assembly elections. However, the assembly elections are conducted by the Election Commission of India, while the municipal elections are to be conducted by the Delhi State Election Commission.
