The head of a 10-year-old girl, who was buried a week ago in Chitravadi village near Madhuranthakam in Tamil Nadu’s Chengalpattu district, went missing from her grave. The shocking incident came to light on Tuesday, after which the authorities started investigating the matter. The police is also probing from the angle of witchcraft. The deceased girl was seriously injured on October 5. While playing outside the house, an electric pole fell on him, causing serious head injury.
Kritika died on October 14 after fighting for her life in the hospital for nearly nine days. After this his family buried him on 15 October after performing the last rites. After ten days, his parents, Pandian and Nadia, noticed that his grave had been tampered with. Suspicious of this, he lodged a complaint with the police. On the basis of this complaint, when the police opened the grave in the presence of district medical department officials and district revenue department officials, the girl’s head was missing there, causing a stir.
Chittoor police is probing the case from different angles. They are investigating whether someone took the girl’s head from the grave due to enmity or whether someone did it due to witchcraft. Police also found some used gloves and torch items near the place where the girl was buried. Police is probing the whole matter.
