Uttarakhand : Government engaged in preparations for winter session, opposition preparing issues, likely to remain stormy

The winter session of the Vidhansabha is starting from 29 November in Uttarakhand. While the government and the Legislative Assembly Secretariat are busy preparing for the session, the opposition has also prepared a strategy to surround the government. The aim of the government is to get some bills passed in the assembly session along with the supplementary budget, but the opposition has made preparations to raise many issues including law and order, Ankita Bhandari case and recruitment scam, through which the government will be besieged.

Assembly session likely to be stormy

The assembly session of Uttarakhand can be stormy this time as the opposition has started formulating a strong strategy to surround the government. The opposition says that this time in the assembly session, questions will be asked to the government on all those issues which have happened in the past, be it the law and order issue or the Ankita Bhandari murder case. Not only this, the Congress has also started giving edge to the recruitment scam in the Uttarakhand Subordinate Selection Service Commission. Leader of Opposition Yashpal Arya says that this time the supplementary budget will be presented in the assembly session but the opposition will try to seek answers from the government on many issues.

Government engaged in preparations for winter session

On the other hand, the Government and the Legislative Assembly Secretariat are engaged in preparations for the winter session of the Legislative Assembly. Proposals have been invited from the departments for the supplementary budget and the government is engaged in preparing the supplementary budget. Whatever bills are to be brought in the assembly, they are being churned. The cabinet has put its stamp on the assembly session and the government has started preparing for the session. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Premchand Aggarwal said that the session has been called from 29 November to 5 December. Aggarwal says that the ruling party and the opposition should conduct the proceedings of the session by debating on every issue.
