Uttarakhand / Dehradun : Now there is no tricycle Vikram, now the four-wheeler vehicle will run
Under the concept of smart city, it has become clear that in the year 2024, no Vikram or auto running on diesel will run in Doon. The decisions taken by the Divisional Transport Authority in its meeting held on November 1 have been made public.
The big decision is that diesel-powered autos and Vikram, which are more than ten years old, will not be able to run after March 31, 2023. Diesel driven autos and Vikram which are less than ten years old will not be operated after December 31, 2023. Instead of these, BS-6 class petrol, CNG or electric vehicles will run in Doon city, which will be four-wheelers.
Now all the routes on which Vikram was running by breaking the rule, have also been destroyed. 18 new routes have been made instead of them. Stage carriage permit passenger vehicles will ply on these 18 routes.
By giving information about the press conference about the decision of the Authority on Saturday, RTA Secretary and RTO Administration Sunil Sharma said that in order to order the National Green Tribunal, the first phase of diesel driven auto and Vikram from Dunn city and Rishikesh Being out in. Right now, 797 Vikrams are operating in the city and they go from all diesel. Apart from this, about 2000 auto are also running from diesel. In these ten years more Old Vikram and Auto will not be operating from April-20123. Diesel Auto-Vikrams less than ten years will not be conducted after January-2012. Diesel Vikram will also be carried out in Rishikesh, Haridwar, Roorkee and Vikasnagar after the city. In the press conference, RTO Enforcement Shailesh Tiwari, ARTO Administration Navin Kumar, ARTO Enforcement Mithilesh Ojha etc.
First come first serve policy in permit
After the removal of diesel Vikram, permits for four-wheeler CNG, BS-VI petrol and electric vehicles operating in the city will be given under the first-come-first-served policy. This relief has been given for the Vikram operator that if he applies for a new permit by January 31, 2023, he will be given priority. The condition will be that they will have to bring a new four-wheeler CNG, BS-6 petrol or electric vehicle within 60 days i.e. by March 31, 2023.
If the application of Vikram operators is not received till January 31, 2023, then under the open policy, permits will be given to general applicants on first come first serve basis. The 18 routes that have been fixed for operation in the city will be decided through a lottery. The applicant for the permit must be a resident of Uttarakhand and must not have any criminal record.
Everyone has to apply
By January 31, 2023, all Vikram operators will have to apply for a permit, whether their Vikram is more than ten years old or less than ten years old. If the operator of a Vikram below the age limit of ten years does not apply for a permit by the prescribed date, then even though his Vikram will be able to operate till December 31, 2023, he will not get a stage carriage permit. In that case, the operator will have to bring a new CNG Vikram, but he will operate outside the city under a contract carriage permit. At the same time, the permit of diesel auto can be converted into CNG, BS-6 petrol or electric auto. New routes for city buses
The authority has also decided to make new routes for city buses. These routes will be longer, so that a single bus can cover a considerable area. RTO informed that city bus will be run from Raipur to Shergarh via Jhajhra via Premnagar-Ballupur-Ghantaghar. Similarly, city bus will also run from ISBT to Mussoorie diversion. Survey of other such routes is also going on. E-rickshaw drivers will be verified
In view of the deteriorating traffic system due to e-rickshaws in the cities, the authority has decided to get the e-rickshaw drivers verified. Actually, according to the policy, only the person in whose name the e-rickshaw has a permit can drive it, but no one is following it. Thousands of illegal e-rickshaws are operating in Doon alone. At the same time, a ban has been imposed on making Jugaad rickshaws using old scooters or bikes. Notices are being given to those selling goods of such rickshaws and legal action will be taken against them.
