Ban on entry of girls in Jama Masjid, PRO gave this clarification on increasing ruckus

Delhi’s historic Jama Masjid is currently running into controversies because of a notice. A notice has been put up everywhere in the mosque – Admission of girl or girls alone is prohibited in Jama Masjid. As soon as this notice came in front, a ruckus has arisen. Delhi Women’s Commission Chairperson Swati Maliwal has expressed strong objection. It has been emphasized that this Talibani decision cannot be recognized in India. Now the Jama Masjid PRO officer has given clarification on this dispute.

The mosque administration’s answer came on the dispute

The PRO officer of Jama Masjid has said that the entry of women has not been banned. When girls come alone, then wrong things happen, videos are made. There is no restriction on family or married couples. It should be made a meeting point, it is not acceptable.

Earlier, Jama Masjid’s RWA General Secretary Mohammad Salman has said that there was some mistake in the board. In this matter, we are going to talk to the Shahi Imam. That mistake will be rectified in time. Now, what was the mistake, what was the mistake, no answer was given from the side of Mohammad Salman. It was only said that the mistake will be rectified. By the way, which is now being called a mistake, till a few hours ago this new rule was being openly advocated.

What was argued earlier?

Regarding the decision of the mosque administration, the PRO of the mosque, Sabiullah had said that this decision has been taken to stop the lonely girls who come here, do wrong things, videos are made. PRO Sabiullah said that there is no restriction on coming with family, but making it a meeting point, considering it as a park, making Tiktok videos, dancing, is not suitable for any religious place. The purpose of our ban is that the mosque is for worship and it should be used for worship only. This is not the place to give time to boys. Not for making videos.

Swati Maliwal started class

Now people had objections to that order, the kind of clarification that was presented also worked to increase the anger. For this reason, Swati Maliwal had bluntly said that we have issued this notice against the Talibani decision of Shahi Imam of Jama Masjid. The order of Shahi Imam is unconstitutional. What do they think that this is Iran that they will openly discriminate against women and no one will stop them. We will get this ban imposed by the mosque administration removed. Now the effect of that anger is visible, it has been said by the Jama Masjid administration that the mistake will be rectified. No clarity has been given regarding the removal of that disputed board.
