Constitution Day: It is necessary for the youth to know about the constitution of the country, when they know it, they will get answers to many questions themselves – PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached the Supreme Court today to participate in the Constitution Day celebrations. Addressing the program, the PM said that today the poor and women of the country are empowered because of the Constitution. He said that today India is moving ahead leaving behind all the difficulties. The PM said that it is necessary for the youth to know the constitution of the country, when they know it, they will get answers to many questions themselves.
The eyes of the world are fixed on India
The PM said that in today’s global situation, the eyes of the whole world are fixed on India. The world is looking at us with great expectations because of India’s fast growing economy and its strong global image. The PM said that the biggest force behind this is our constitution.
Tributes paid to those who lost their lives in 26/11 terror attack
The Prime Minister said that on this day the 26/11 terror attack took place in Mumbai. The PM said that 14 years ago, when India was celebrating its Constitution and the rights of its citizens, the biggest terrorist attack on India was carried out by the enemies of humanity. I pay tribute to those who lost their lives in the attack.
E-court project launched
In this program, PM Modi first started the e-court project. Under this project Virtual Justice Clock, Digital Court and Justice Mobile App 2.0 will be launched. After launching the PM said that on this day in 1949, independent India had laid the foundation of a new future for itself. This time’s Constitution Day is also special because India has completed 75 years of its independence.
Tribute to the great personalities who gave the constitution to the country: PM
Prime Minister Narendra Modi earlier in a tweet paid tribute to the great leaders who gave the Constitution and reiterated his commitment to fulfill his vision for the nation. Since 2015, 26 November is celebrated as Constitution Day to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India by the Constituent Assembly. Earlier, this day was celebrated as Law Day.
Attorney General said – need to eradicate social division
Advocate R Venkataramani while addressing the function said that there is a need to eradicate some of the harmful problems of caste and other social divisions. He said that the claim of equality is complex and accommodation must be made for coordination between law, society and the courts without creating new divisions.
Independence has put huge responsibilities on us: Rijiju
Union Law Minister Kiren Rijiju said that Dr. BR Ambedkar had said that this freedom has put great responsibilities on us, which we have to remember even today. He said that Prime Minister Modi has on several occasions highlighted the need to encourage local languages in the courts so as to increase the confidence of the common people of our country in the judicial system and also to make them feel connected.
That’s why Constitution Day is celebrated
To pay tribute to Dr BR Ambedkar, the architect of the country’s constitution, the Ministry of Social Justice had decided to celebrate 26 November as the country’s Constitution Day on 19 November 2015. Its purpose is also to make the people of the country aware about the constitution. It was decided to celebrate Constitution Day so that every citizen of the country should know about the constitutional values.
