Advocate Lalit- For this, while giving the complaint letter to the police, you should take the receipt of it, in which the DD entry number is written. This is the biggest proof that you had given a complaint letter to the police.

Even after this no action is taken, then you can directly make a written complaint to your local magistrate under section 156(3) of CrPC. After this your case will go from the police station to the court.

Question- Just as the case was closed after Shraddha’s complaint letter, similarly if the police takes action after our complaint letter, then when can the case be closed?
Answer- If the accused is caught after taking action by the police, your problem will be solved or there will be a reconciliation between you and the accused.
