Egypt’s President to be chief guest on Republic Day, Foreign Ministry told
Egyptian President Abdul Fattah El-Sisi will be the chief guest at the Republic Day parade in 2023 at the invitation of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued an official statement on Sunday saying that this would be the first time that the President of Egypt would attend as the Chief Guest on the occasion of the country’s Republic Day.
It has been said in the statement that there are deep relations between India and Egypt and both the countries are celebrating the 75th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations this year.
