Pakistan Imran Khan’s Senator Azam Swati arrested
The police in Pakistan have arrested Azam Khan Swati, a senator from Imran Khan’s party, in connection with his statements against the army.
Azam Swati had used abusive language against top army officers in several posts on Twitter. He has been accused of running a campaign against the army.
Azam Swati was arrested two weeks back also in connection with these posts. Azam Swati is banned from participating in media programs and broadcast of his old statements is also banned.
Imran Khan has criticized the arrest of Azam Swati. Meanwhile, Azam Khan says that he is dissolving his governments in two provinces.
