South Korean judicial officials have said that O Yong-su, actor of the popular Netflix show ‘Squid Game’, has been accused in a case of sexual violence.

Officials have said that the 78-year-old actor has been accused of touching a woman inappropriately in the year 2017.

According to local media, O Yong-su has rejected these allegations.

Earlier this year, South Korean actor Oh Yong-su received the Golden Globe Award for ‘Best Supporting Actor’ for Squid Game. He is the first South Korean actor to receive this honor.

According to Yonhap news agency, the alleged victim filed a complaint against O in December last year, but the case was closed in April this year without investigating the allegations against O.

The news agencies say that the prosecution reopened the case ‘on the appeal of the victim’ and the investigation of the case started once again.

Now O is accused in this case but till now he has not been arrested.

According to news agency AFP, South Korea’s Ministry of Culture has decided to ban the broadcast of a government advertisement featuring O Yong-su after these allegations surfaced.

The Squid Game is the most watched series on Netflix ever. It is a thriller series in which several debt-ridden contestants participate in a money contest in which they have to fight for life and death.
