The central government has banned the scholarship received from class 1 to 8 in madrassas, the source of income of madrassas will be investigated in UP!

The central government has stopped the scholarship given to the students of class 1 to 8 in madrassas. Instructions have also been issued regarding this. Till now, children from 1 to 5 in madrassas used to get scholarship of Rs.1000. At the same time, children from 6 to 8 used to get scholarship according to different courses. It is being told that the central government believes that education from class 1 to 8 is free under the Right to Education. Apart from this, other essential items are also given to the students. Mid-day meals and books are provided free of cost in madrassas. In such a situation, the government has decided to stop the scholarship. However, students of 9th and 10th will continue to get scholarship as before. Their applications will be taken.
It is being told that last year 4 to 5 lakh children got scholarship in 16558 madrassas of UP. This time also in November, the children of madrassas had applied for scholarship. But the central government has suddenly decided to stop the scholarship. The state government has already stopped the scholarship.
The source of income of madrassas in UP will be investigated
In Uttar Pradesh, the Yogi government had recently conducted a survey of madrassas. In this, 8496 madrasas have been found unrecognized. During the survey, the source of income of these madrassas has been told as Zakat (donation). In such a situation, now the UP government is preparing to get the source of income of madrassas investigated.
In fact, a large number of unrecognized madrassas have been found in the border areas adjoining Nepal. 500 unrecognized madrassas have been found in Siddharthnagar, 400 in Balrampur, 400 in Bahraich and Shravasti, 200 in Lakhimpur, 60 in Maharajganj in the border areas adjoining Nepal. Zakat has been received from Kolkata, Chennai, Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Saudi and Nepal in these Madrasas. In such a situation, now their source will be investigated.
