Uttarakhand / Dehradun : E-rickshaw driver crushed to death with stone in Guchu Pani, was missing since Monday, police engaged in investigation

An e-rickshaw driver was killed at Guchupani, a picnic spot. He was missing since Monday. His body was found lying on the bank of the river near the bushes. It is being told that the e-rickshaw of the youth was booked by three youths. But, no information could be found about them. Police prima facie is considering it as a murder of Ranjishan. The post-mortem of the dead body will be done on Wednesday.

According to the police, on Tuesday, the local councilor had informed about the dead body of a youth lying in Guchupani. When the police reached the spot, the youth was not identified. He was hit on the head with a stone. There was also blood on a big stone. After some time, the family members of the young man along with another police team reached the spot in search of him. He has been identified as Mohsin (30) s/o Aziz Ahmed r/o Menhuwala Mafi, Telpur Chowk. Relatives told that Mohsin had left the house on Monday morning at 8.30 am with an e-rickshaw.

At around 12.30 pm, he got a call that he was going to Guchupani with three people on booking. Will come home late in the evening. Every day he used to come home between four and five o’clock. He spoke at his home for the last time at 4.30 pm. Said that it will take more time to come. After this his phone got switched off. When the family members got worried, they started searching here and there. But, Mohsin was nowhere to be found. The relatives were searching for him since Tuesday morning.

He informed the Cantt Police and along with the team reached the spot. SP City Sarita Dobal told that packets of eatables were lying near the body. There was also a bottle of wine. On the basis of circumstantial evidence, the murder must have been committed amid an altercation with the youths. The SP said that no information has been received about the youths yet. The murder is also being linked to enmity. The e-rickshaw was parked at Guchupani Chowk.

Wife was separated, came back a few days ago
SP City told that there may be some family dispute of the youth. The wife had started living separately from him due to the dispute. For some time now she has started living together again. Information is also being collected from the family members of the youth. Whether he had enmity with anyone, it is also being ascertained.

So someone had made the booking with the youth
The police have also seen the e-rickshaw in the CCTV footage. Only three youths were sitting in the e-rickshaw on the Guchupani route. Initial investigation has revealed that someone had booked the e-rickshaw through these youths. There can also be a fourth person in this. Due to this he may have enmity. SP City told that important information has been received. The incident will be revealed soon.
