In Najibabad of the district, a businessman informed the bank manager about the disappearance of jewelery worth lakhs of rupees from the bank locker. The police also reached the spot and inquired. Pawan Aggarwal, a resident of Mohalla Sevaram, has a locker in Bank of Baroda. On Wednesday, Pawan Agarwal along with his wife Namrata Agarwal arrived to open his locker. On the instructions of branch manager Satish Kumar, bank official Durga Shankar Sharma, to operate the locker of the business couple, put the locker key of the bank along with the businessman’s key to open the locker. Shortly after, the businessman informed the bank manager Satish Kumar about the missing jewelery worth lakhs of rupees kept in the locker. The businessman told that before this he had opened the bank locker on October 1, 2022. At that time, ornaments worth about Rs 10 to 15 lakh were kept in it.
On the information of the businessman, Sarai Chowki in-charge reached the spot along with the police team. The businessman admitted that his locker was locked and the bank official got his locker opened with a bank key. Bank officials and the police are not accepting the fact that jewelery worth lakhs of rupees has gone missing from the locker locked by the businessman. On behalf of the businessman, a complaint was handed over to the police about the disappearance of jewelery worth lakhs of rupees from the bank locker.
The bank has more than 400 lockers. The locker is operated by the holder himself. Bank officials get separated just by putting the key of the bank. Businessman Pawan himself opened his lock. The business couple operated the locker. It is not possible for jewelery to disappear from a locked locker.
