QR code facility being made available
Minister of State for Transport (Independent Charge) Dayashankar Singh said that under this, the facility of getting tickets through QR code based UPI has been made available to the passengers traveling in the buses of the Transport Corporation. Passengers will be able to buy tickets in buses through any UPI app- Paytm, Google-pay, Phone-pay, Bhima app etc.
Modern machines given to operators
For this system, Android based modern ticketing machines have been made available to the operators in all the buses of the Transport Corporation. UPI option is available in these ticketing machines, using which a dynamic QR code is displayed on the screen of the ticketing machine.
After the success of the pilot project, it will be implemented in the entire state.
Passengers can pay by scanning through the payment app of their mobile phones. He said that after successful pilot test of this system by the Transport Corporation, this system has been made effective from Tuesday in the corporation buses of the entire state.
Operators will be given special prize
On implementation of this facility, operators of Transport Corporation buses will also be motivated to use UPI medium, under which top-3 operators of each area of Transport Corporation will be honored with special prizes for taking fare through UPI. The plan has been made.
Special incentive scheme implemented
Special incentive scheme will be implemented in corporation buses in the next 15 days. The process has been started for its implementation. This initiative of the Transport Corporation will contribute effectively in the direction of digital payment and passengers will also get rid of the problem of retail.
