BJP made history only in Gujarat, but Congress made a unique record in these four states
The BJP may have created a new history by winning more than 150 seats in Gujarat with 182 assemblies, but you will be surprised to know that after this election result, the Congress has set a big record in not one, but four states simultaneously. But this record of Congress has not become a matter of celebration, but a major cause of concern for the party. After all, what is the reason that such unwanted records are continuously being registered in the name of Congress. After all, why Congress is not able to get rid of such records. Let us tell you first of all, what are those records, which have trapped the Congress in even more trouble…?
Today may have been a day of celebration as well as sorrow for the Congress, as it lost in Gujarat and won in Himachal Pradesh. Himachal’s victory is definitely not less than Sanjeevani for Congress. But the historic defeat in Gujarat is also a major cause of concern for it. The Congress is currently giving the credit of this victory of Himachal to Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra, but what is the reason that the Bharat Jodo Yatra which is being claimed to win the majority of the Congress in Himachal, the same Bharat Jodo Yatra has won Gujarat. I faced the most embarrassing defeat ever. This defeat of the year 2022 has proved to be the biggest defeat for the Congress in the history of Gujarat assembly elections. There must be some reason why the Congress could not win even 20 seats in Gujarat despite claiming anti-incumbency against the BJP. Well, this is all an internal matter of the Congress, on which it will decide whether to churn or not, but we tell you what other shameful records have been registered in the name of Congress with this defeat of Gujarat. ?
Congress made this new record in 4 states
With the defeat for the seventh consecutive time in the Gujarat assembly elections, a new record has been added to the name of the Congress. This record has been established not only in Gujarat, but from UP to Bihar and West Bengal. Now Congress has become the first such party in the country, whose name has registered a strange record of staying out of power in any state for 30 years and more. After BJP’s historic victory in Gujarat, now Congress will be out of power for 32 consecutive years. And in UP, Bihar and West Bengal also Congress has been out of power for more than three decades.
Congress is out of power in West Bengal for 55 years
The most shameful record in the name of the Congress party is that of West Bengal, where it has not come to power for 55 years. Since 1977, the Congress has not only been out of power in West Bengal continuously, but has also not been able to sit in the opposition. Siddhartha Shankar Rai of the Congress was the last Chief Minister of West Bengal from the party. As soon as he was removed in 1977, the Marxist Communist Party (CPI-M) came to power in West Bengal. After this, the CPI-M remained in power for 34 consecutive years and ruled till the year 2011. Since then Mamta Banerjee has been the CM of West Bengal for three consecutive terms. Now BJP has become the main opposition there.
Congress could not return in UP for 33 years
After the year 1989, Congress has not returned to power in UP till date. The last Chief Minister of Congress in UP was Narayan Dutt Tiwari, whose tenure lasted till 1989. After this, in December 1989, Mulayam Singh Yadav became the first non-Congress Chief Minister of UP. After this, the coalition government of SP and sometimes BSP and BJP continued to come to power here. Now from the year 2017, BJP is ruling continuously. Yogi Adityanath has become the CM of UP for the second time with record seats. Thus Congress is out of power in UP for 33 years. Also, it has now been reduced to one or two seats in the state. In a way, the existence of Congress has ended in UP. SP is now the main opposition here.
Did not get the pleasure of power in Bihar for 32 years
Like in UP and West Bengal, Congress has been out of power in Bihar for 32 years. Along with this, it is no longer fit to sit in the opposition. Bihar has the current government of JDU and RJD, where Nitish Kumar is the Chief Minister of the coalition government. BJP is in the role of the main opposition here. The fate of Congress is same here as in UP and West Bengal.
Now Congress will be out in Gujarat for 32 years
After West Bengal, UP and Bihar, Congress will remain out of power in Gujarat for 32 consecutive years. Till now she was out of Gujarat for 27 years. This time in the 2022 elections, the Congress was expecting a change, but leave the change far away, it created a new record of humiliating defeat in the state and got less than 20 seats in its bag. Earlier, the record of Congress winning the least number of seats in Gujarat was recorded in 1990, when it got only 33 seats. In this way, Congress has created a new and shameful record of staying out of power for more than 30 years in the above four states.
