Haryana / Hisar : Clash between bride and groom on demand of five lakh rupees in dowry and vehicle, three people injured, bride returned procession
There was a clash between the bride and groom on demand of dowry in Hansi. In which three people from both the sides have been injured. All have been admitted to a private hospital. After the incident, the bride refused to marry and returned the baraat.
According to the information, the marriage procession of Ankit, a resident of Rishi Nagar of Hisar, reached Mandi Saniyan of Hansi at around 12 o’clock on Friday night. Here Ankit was to be married to Shabnam. The relatives of the girl told that on December 8, at the time of Lagan, other things including bike were given. The girl’s father Vijay Saini said that Ankit’s father demanded Rs 5 lakh and a car in dowry. Due to non-payment of dowry, he was adamant on not marrying. Vijay Saini said that he tried to persuade but the boy’s father started threatening the post of police sub-inspector.
The tussle increased between the two sides. In the confrontation between the two sides, the girl’s maternal uncle Deepak and Rajesh and Sunil from the boy’s side were injured. Some others have received minor injuries. The people from the boy’s side also scattered the food items of the procession. The people of the girl’s side have given their complaint to the women’s police station. The police is investigating the matter
