PM Modi further said, “In the last 8 years, both our thinking and approach have changed. We are emphasizing on ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas’. When I say ‘everybody’s effort’, it includes every countryman and state. Big or small, everyone’s capacity will increase only then India will become developed.
‘Today is the time for the fourth industrial revolution’
The Prime Minister said, ‘We could not take advantage of the first industrial revolution, lagged behind in the second-third industrial revolution, but today when it is time for the fourth industrial revolution, India cannot afford to miss it.’ He said that no country can run with short-cuts, for the progress of the country, permanent development, working for permanent solutions, a long term vision is very important.
Targeted the opposition
PM Modi said that the country needs sustainable development and not shortcut politics. He accused some political parties of trying to destroy the country’s economy. The Prime Minister said, ‘Today I will urge every youth of India, I will urge every tax payer, to expose such selfish political parties and selfish political leaders, who are running with the policy of increasing income and spending money. They will make this country hollow from inside.
Nagpur AIIMS inaugurated
Inaugurated the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS). He then inspected the exhibition. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde was also present during this. Earlier, the Prime Minister inaugurated the first phase of the 520-km Hindu Hrudaysamrat Balasaheb Thackeray Maharashtra Samruddhi Mahamarg, which connects Nagpur and Shirdi.

Vande Bharat Express train flagged off
Earlier, PM Modi flagged off the Vande Bharat Express train in Nagpur. This train will run between Nagpur and Bilaspur. During this, the Prime Minister also laid the foundation stone for the redevelopment of Nagpur Railway Station and Ajni Railway Station, to be redeveloped at a cost of about Rs 590 crore and Rs 360 crore.

Phase I of Nagpur Metro inaugurated
In yet another move to revolutionize urban mobility, the Prime Minister dedicated to the nation the ‘Phase I of Nagpur Metro’. He also flagged off two metro trains – Khapri to Automotive Square (Orange Line) and Prajapati Nagar to Lokmanya Nagar (Aqua Line) – at Khapri Metro Station.

The first phase of Nagpur Metro has been developed at a cost of over Rs 8650 crore. The Prime Minister also laid the foundation stone of Nagpur Metro Phase-II, to be developed at a cost of over Rs 6,700 crore.

The Prime Minister will dedicate to the nation the Government Maintenance Depot, Ajni (Nagpur) and the Kohli-Narkher section of the Nagpur-Itarsi Third Line Project. These projects have been developed at a cost of about Rs 110 crore and about Rs 450 crore respectively. The laying of the foundation stone of the National One Health Institute (NIO), Nagpur by the Prime Minister is a step towards capacity building and infrastructure in the country under the ‘One Health’ approach.

The prevalence of sickle cell disease is comparatively high in the Vidarbha region, especially in the tribal population. Along with other hemoglobinopathies such as thalassemia and HbE, the disease poses a significant disease burden in the country. To address this issue, the Prime Minister laid the foundation stone of the ‘Centre for Research, Management and Control of Hemoglobinopathies, Chandrapur’ in February 2019.

The Prime Minister will now dedicate this center to the nation, which is envisaged to become a center of excellence for innovative research, technology development, human resource development in the field of hemoglobinopathies in the country. The Prime Minister will dedicate the Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering and Technology (CIPET), Chandrapur to the nation. The objective of the Institute is to develop skilled human resource to meet the requirements of Polymer and allied industries.
