Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu’s big statement as soon as he became the CM of Himachal Pradesh, made this announcement on OPS
Newly appointed Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu said that work will be done by formulating an effective policy for development schemes in Himachal Pradesh. Sukhu said that the Old Pension Scheme (OPS) has been implemented in the state and said that the Congress had given 10 guarantees in the election promises, for which all possible efforts would be made to fulfill them.
Talking to the media after the swearing-in ceremony, Sukhu said that the Congress government in Himachal Pradesh would be completely transparent and honest. Focusing on the basic facilities in the mountainous districts of the state, the life of the people will be made easier. Whatever the promises made by the Congress will be fulfilled on priority.

Himachal Pradesh’s Deputy CM Mukesh Agnihotri also confirmed Sukhu’s words and said that in the first cabinet meeting, work will be done by formulating an effective policy to fulfill the promises. Said that the old pension scheme will be restored in Himachal Pradesh under any circumstances. It was said that the people of Himachal did not approve the works of BJP in the Vidhansabha elections-2022.

Old Pension Scheme-OPS was a major election issue in the Himachal Pradesh Assembly Elections-2022. During the election campaign, the Congress had promised the people of Himachal Pradesh that the OPS would be implemented as soon as the Congress government was formed.
