Maharashtra government will bring Lokayukta bill, CM Shinde said – will make the state corruption free
The Maharashtra government will bring the Lokayukta bill in this assembly session. Maharashtra’s Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis gave this information. He said that we have taken important decisions in the cabinet meeting today. We have approved the report of Anna Hazare Committee to start Lokayukta in Maharashtra on the lines of Lokpal.
Maharashtra Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis further said that the CM and the cabinet will be brought under the purview of the Lokayukta. The Prevention of Corruption Act will be made a part of this law and the Lokayukta will have a team of five people including retired judges.
On the other hand, on this matter, Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde said that we will run the government with complete transparency. We will make Maharashtra corruption free, so we have decided to bring Lokayukta law in the state.
Opposition will surround Shinde government in the house
Leader of the Opposition in the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly Ajit Pawar on Sunday said that the opposition will corner the Eknath Shinde-led state government in the winter session of the Legislature beginning on Monday on the issue of agrarian distress and investment projects being pulled out of the state’s hands. The opposition has unanimously decided to boycott the traditional tea party to be hosted by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde this evening. On Shivaji Maharaj, Governor B.S. Other issues like Koshyari’s remarks and the ongoing border dispute with Karnataka are also likely to dominate the winter session.
