Sargam Kaushal won the title of Mrs. World, after 21 years an Indian crowned herself
Sargam Kaushal has won the title of Mrs. World 2022. She was crowned by America’s Shaylin Ford, the 2021 winner, at a ceremony held at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino on Saturday.
In this competition, Mrs. Polynesia was declared the first runner-up followed by Mrs. Canada as the second runner-up. This information was given by Mrs. India pageant on its official Instagram page on Sunday. The caption on the page with Sargam’s photo reads, “The long wait is over.” The Taj has returned to us after 21 years.
“We have got the crown back after 21-22 years. I am very excited. Love you India, love you world,” said Mrs World, who hails from Jammu and Kashmir, in a video after the ceremony. Actress-model Aditi Govitrikar, who brought her to India, was also elated over Sargam’s win. Tagging Sargam, he wrote, “Hearty congratulations Sargam Kaushal very happy to be a part of this journey ..Taj is back after 21 years.” Sargam Kaushal belongs to Jammu and Kashmir. She is a teacher and model. She was determined to win the beauty pageant since her marriage in the year 2018. She has also participated in Mrs. India 2022. She also won the title of this competition.
