World Minorities Rights Day: Uttarakhand CM Dhami said – Government is running many schemes for the welfare of minorities

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami participated in the program organized on the occasion of World Minority Rights Day. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami while congratulating all the people of minority community on World Minority Rights Day said that this day is a day to remember our fundamental duties for protection and promotion of India’s integrity and unity. India is a country with different sects, languages and cultures. Unity in diversity is the unique identity of India. Our Indian culture has been to respect all sects. For the sake of national unity and integrity, various works like promoting communal harmony and brotherhood in accordance with religious-regional diversity have been our priority.
During this, the Chief Minister while giving a statement said that a large number of Muslims are in the minority community in our country. After independence, the country was ruled by one party for a long time. In such a situation, it is a question to be pondered that why the Muslim community is not included in the mainstream of education and development? CM Dhami further said that when I was contesting elections for the first time. Then this misconception was spread among the Muslims in my constituency that if this party wins then the peace here will be disturbed. But not a single such incident took place after I won. CM Dhami further said that today India has a high position in the world. India was once considered a backward country. But today the world believes that India can play a leadership role in any field.
The Chief Minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country is moving forward with the spirit of everyone’s support, everyone’s development, everyone’s faith and everyone’s effort. Unprecedented work has been done for the welfare and upliftment of the minority class. It has been a part of India’s ancient tradition to follow the spirit of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” by giving shelter to the suffering community of the world in our country. The passage of the Citizenship Amendment Bill in the country under the leadership of the Prime Minister is synonymous with the significance of this tradition. Along with this, it has been a historic decision to implement the law related to triple talaq in the country to protect the rights and interests of our Muslim mothers and sisters from the point of view of women empowerment. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, several schemes are being run by the Central Government for the welfare of minorities. Many schemes are also being run by the state government for the minority community. Protection of the rights of minority society is the priority of the government. Everyone is getting the benefits of various schemes equally in the country. The state government has also taken some special steps in this regard. “Chief Minister Minority Promotion Scheme” has been started to increase the representation of minorities in various competitive examinations and to encourage minority students.
