Director General Education Banshidhar Tiwari held a review meeting with Additional Director Secondary, Elementary as well as all education officers of Kumaon Division at Government Girls Inter College, Haldwani on Tuesday. He directed all the education officers of the Kumaon division to conduct additional classes in the schools for NAS (National Achievement Survey) and made a detailed review in view of the problems being faced by doing science subject in English from class 3rd to class 8th. Director General Tiwari told the education officers to motivate all the teachers to organize extra classes for the children, which would improve the level of education among the children. Teachers will also be given extra incentive for this. He said in the review meeting that till now milk was available once a week, now the children will get milk two days a week. He said that the education given by the Guru is the best for our life. For this, it is the duty of the teachers to selflessly convey their thoughts to the children. He said that practice is necessary for children. Unless children practice on papers, they cannot be toppers. For this, the teachers have to make the children practice on maximum number of papers. With practice, the writing of the children will become good, and their mental level will also improve.
Tiwari instructed all the education officers that banana trees should be planted in the kitchen gardens of the schools where kitchen gardens are established, the protection of these banana trees will also be done by the education department. He said that the amount of potassium is abundant in the banana tree, which is the best for the nutrition of the children, along with it, you can also plant drumstick. Director General Tiwari instructed all education officers that preparation for pre-medical and pre-engineering should be done in colleges in all the districts. He said that the aim of the government is to strengthen the buildings of all the schools in the state by 2025. For this, all the education officers should inform about the updated status of their respective school buildings.
He directed the district education officers to fulfill the targets of all district kindergartens within a month. 50 kindergartens are to be set up in Udham Singh Nagar, 30 in Nainital, 8 in Champawat, 15 in Pithoragarh and 40 in Almora. On this occasion, Additional Director Secondary Leeladhar Vyas, Ajay Naudiyal, Chief Education Officer Ashok Zukaria, Gajendra, Satyanarayan, Jitendra Saxena, Ramesh Chandra Arya, District Education Officer HB Chandra as well as officials of the Education Department were present.
