Wear a mask, COVID is coming… All this is an excuse to stop the Bharat Jodo Yatra, Rahul Gandhi’s reply to Mandaviya
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has alleged that Corona is being used as an excuse to stop the Bharat Jodo Yatra. In fact, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya had written a letter urging Rahul Gandhi to postpone the Bharat Jodo Yatra. Rahul Gandhi said in Haryana’s Nuh that a conspiracy is being hatched to stop his visit. Rahul said that the people of BJP are scared of this visit. Earlier, many Congress leaders had said that the fear of Corona is being shown to stop the Bharat Jodo Yatra.
‘Corona’s excuse, these people are scared of the truth of India’
Addressing the people during Bharat Jodo Yatra in Nuh, Rahul Gandhi said, ‘He has come up with a new idea. Wrote me a letter that COVID is coming, stop the journey. Covid is coming stop traveling. Now brother, you see, now excuses are being made to stop the journey. Wear mask stop traveling covid is spreading. All are excuses. These people are afraid of the power of India and the truth of India.
We have walked more than 100 days in the journey: Rahul
Rahul Gandhi further said, ‘You see, let me tell you a funny thing. We have now gone more than 100 days in the journey. There are Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs and Christians in this, people of every caste and religion. Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra had entered Haryana on December 21 via Nuh in Mewat. The journey in Haryana is in two phases. On December 23, the yatra will reach Delhi via Faridabad. The yatra will enter Delhi on December 24. And in Haryana, the second phase of Bharat Jodo Yatra will start on January 6.
Khurshid’s statement – Yatra will not be stopped
On COVID infection, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya wrote a letter to Rahul Gandhi and appealed to stop the journey. The Yatra’s provincial coordination committee chairman Salman Khurshid has said that the yatra will not be stopped. Khurshid said in a press conference, ‘Congress will first of all follow all the precautions related to prevention of Kovid in its journey, but the journey will not stop, will not stop, will not stop.’ The Congress leader was asked if Mandaviya has written a letter to Rahul asking him to stop the yatra, will it affect the yatra programme. To this Khurshid said, ‘In a democratic system, every party and individual has the right to speak his mind. The government is scared of this Congress visit, that is why various orders and letters are being issued. Those who did not get scared of Covid got scared of traveling. We will not take any letter seriously.
Taunt on reaching Parliament in PM’s mask
To another question, Khurshid said that the party takes necessary permission from the administration concerned to take out the yatra. If the BJP government tries to stop the ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ through administration, then it will have to answer to the democratic institutions. To a question on making masks mandatory in Parliament and the Prime Minister reaching the House wearing a mask, Khurshid said, “Prime Minister Modi is a very good theater artist.”
Regarding the program of the yatra in Uttar Pradesh, he said that the Bharat Jodo Yatra will enter Uttar Pradesh on January 3 from Loni area of Ghaziabad. After that it will enter Haryana via Baghpat and Shamli. Referring to the preparations for ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ in Uttar Pradesh, the former Union minister said, ‘At least 11,000 party workers will participate in the yatra and they will be involved in the yatra throughout. Farmers’ organizations, students’ unions and weavers’ organizations will also be invited to participate in the yatra. Apart from this, social workers, writers, poets and spiritual personalities are also being invited to participate in the yatra.
