Former Tripura CM Biplab Deb’s ancestral house attacked, set on fire, vehicles vandalized

The ancestral house of former Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb has been attacked. The attackers set fire to the former CM’s house and also broke the glasses of the car parked there. As soon as the information about the incident was received, the police and the administration reached the spot in a hurry. The eyewitnesses of the police incident are being interrogated so that it can be clear who all were involved in the attack.

According to media reports, today i.e. Wednesday is also the death anniversary of Biplab Deb’s father, in such a situation many questions are being raised regarding this attack. If sources are to be believed, the annual ritual was also to be organized here in the memory of the late father, but before that, the former CM’s house is attacked and the house is set on fire. It is a matter of relief that at the time when the house was handed over to the fire, there was no one in it.

Deb Was the Chief Minister of Tripura but was removed from the post by the BJP in May last year. Manik Saha, a Rajya Sabha member and BJP’s Tripura unit president, was made the chief minister in his place. Saha later resigned from the membership of the Rajya Sabha. The BJP had made Deb its candidate for this seat. Deb had won the bypoll.
