Uttarakhand : Military personnel posted in Jammu and Kashmir jumped into Rishikesh Ganges, was going home with family

Gairsain resident army personnel posted in Jammu and Kashmir jumped into the Ganges at Kaudiyala. Military personnel are being told mentally unwell. SDRF is engaged in search of army personnel in Ganga. According to the information, Rahul Lakheda (24) son of Ramchandra Lakheda, a resident of Gairsain in Chamoli district, is posted in the army in Jammu and Kashmir.
Rahul’s mental condition was not good for some days. On Tuesday, army personnel came till ISBT Rishikesh to drop Rahul home. The army personnel handed over Rahul to his maternal uncle’s son Rajesh Gaur. Rajesh booked a vehicle from Rishikesh to Kaudiyala.
Rahul’s brother-in-law Manoj reached Kaudiyala in the evening to take him home. SDRF Inspector Kavindra Sajwan said that after reaching Kaudiyala, Rahul got down from the car for defecation and refused to sit again. Even after persuading several times by maternal uncle’s son and brother-in-law, he was not ready to sit in the car.
According to relatives and eyewitnesses, he suddenly jumped into the Ganges while running. The SDRF inspector told that there was a problem in the search operation due to excessive darkness. Told that the search operation was started again on Wednesday. He told that the army personnel is being searched.
