Uttarakhand police set a record, Banbasa police station among the top three police stations in the country, 20 will be honored
Banbasa police station of Champawat district bordering Nepal has become one of the top three police stations in the country. Union Home Minister Amit Shah will give this award to Laxman Singh Jagwan, SHO of the police station at the DGP conference on January 20. Which ranking will be found in the first three will be announced on the same day. CM shared this information on Twitter. He wrote that the Union Home Ministry has included Banbasa police station in Champawat district among the best three police stations in the country. This achievement is the result of the dutifulness of all the police personnel who are playing an important role in establishing good governance and strong law and order in the state. CM is also an MLA from Champawat. According to police department sources, Banbasa police station has been included in the list of best because of better law and order, speedy disposal of cases, good performance in computerization and other parameters.
Champawat SP Devendra Pincha has confirmed the award. In the year 2022 also, Banbasa police station got the seventh rank in the country. The Union Home Ministry determines the top police stations on parameters such as crime control and treatment of common citizens. There is legal movement from Banbasa to Nepal and on an average more than three thousand domestic and foreign people move daily. This police station and the Banbasa Sharda Barrage police post, built three decades ago, have also played a great role in curbing human trafficking and drug trafficking from the Banbasa border.
