Uttarakhand: Instructions to demolish dilapidated buildings in Joshimath, chopper will be arranged for experts

Regarding the landslide in Joshimath, where experts from Uttarakhand to the central government are working to save the city, the government has also given instructions to provide relief to the people without delay. In this episode, Chief Secretary SS Sandhu took a meeting of officers in the Secretariat today and gave necessary guidelines regarding Joshimath. He has given instructions to demolish the buildings which have developed cracks and become dilapidated. Let us inform that the team of experts has already returned after studying in Joshimath and the report related to it has also been given to the government. On this basis, Chief Secretary SS Sandhu held a review meeting. The Chief Secretary said that in view of cracks and landslides in Joshimath, every minute is very important for us. People living in the affected area should be shifted to a safe place without delay.
Chief Secretary Sandhu has asked the officials to vacate the affected area without any delay. Along with this, instructions have been given to ensure proper arrangement of drinking water etc. at the place where people are being shifted. He said that the drinking water department has been asked to repair the broken drinking water line, sewer and electricity line etc. in the landslide affected area.
Orders for demolishing crack affected and dilapidated buildings
At the same time, to avoid loss of life and property in the affected area, instructions have been given to the higher officials to keep an eye on the area continuously and remain on the spot. The Chief Secretary has given instructions to start work from today itself to prevent toe erosion in the landslide area. He said that the buildings which have got cracks or have become dilapidated (Cracks on Houses in Joshimath), they should be demolished soon (demolish dilapidated buildings in Joshimath), so that those buildings do not cause more damage.
Chopper will be arranged for experts
Uttarakhand Chief Secretary SS Sandhu instructed the officers that arrangements should be made to bring experts etc. by chopper so that it does not take time to reach the Joshimath disaster affected area. He also gave instructions to complete the works soon by increasing the man power.
