It must be sounding strange, but due to administrative negligence, such cases often come to the fore. One such case has come to the fore from Newari village of Singrauli district in Madhya Pradesh. A 75-year-old Ramu Saket, a 75-year-old resident here, has been shown dead on paper and is now pleading with the higher authorities that ‘I am alive’. Let us tell you the whole matter.
This case pertains to Newari village of Chitrangi tehsil of Singrauli district. Here old Ramu Saket was shown dead in government papers. Even his death certificate was also issued. When the old man demanded land for himself as he was landless under the government scheme, the officials told that the person by that name had died many years ago. The elders were stunned to hear this. Now to prove himself alive, he is going round the offices of the officers.
DM ordered an inquiry
Elderly Ramu Saket near DM is now trying to prove himself alive. He has given an application to Singrauli DM and told that he is alive and it should be corrected in the papers. On the other hand, when the matter was discussed with District Officer Arun Parmar, he said that the matter has come to his notice. Investigation will be done and strict action will also be taken against the culprits who are negligent.
Negligence of Sarpanch Secretary
The result of the negligence of the government employees is not limited to Ramu only, but there are many other people of the village who have been declared dead in the government papers. In the DM’s public hearing, Jyoti Sharan Tiwari, a resident of Khurmucha village of Chitrangi block, also reached to plead with the DM to prove herself alive like Ramu. She said- Sir, even the Secretary Sarpanch has declared me dead on paper. Not getting the benefit of government ration. Apart from this, could not get the benefit of any other schemes. Sir, make it alive on paper.
