That’s why he gave the gift of not one, not two but 6 daughters and a son. Four daughters and a son are married. Two daughters Kavita and Savita are still studying. Both of them are graduate.
Father also banned studies
From childhood to adolescence, the household which was buzzing with these daughters gradually went into a storm of discord. When she became an adult and started choosing the path of becoming self-supporting after studying, then the father started finding these daughters a burden. The situation reached to such an extent that a ban was imposed on the education of daughters.
When I raised my voice for my rights, I was harassed
These daughters who raised their voice for their rights were being harassed. When the oppression was not tolerated, both these sisters protested vocally and reached the District Magistrate’s office on Monday afternoon in the hope of justice after covering a distance of 34 km in the midst of the bitter cold. From here she was sent to the women’s police station. The allegation of both the sisters is that the woman police station chief did not listen to them. Also behaved inappropriately. Hurt by this behavior of women policemen, both these sisters reached back to the District Magistrate’s office at 4 pm and sat on a dharna demanding justice.
Father does injustice by talking about brother-sister-in-law
Sisters allege that father does injustice to us by talking about brother and sister-in-law. Not a single word of his is listened to. They are from strangers in their own home. When no solution is suggested, she has come to the District Magistrate in the hope of help. Raised the question that if the daughter cannot live with respect in the father’s house then where should she go. The officials also looked unanswered on all these questions. However, the administration looked helpless in front of the stubbornness of these girls in the shivering cold.
The sisters agreed to the persuasion of the officers
SDM Sadar Shailesh Dubey and Naib Tehsildar KK Mishra agreed after a lot of persuasion. Earlier, in view of the cold, there was talk of sending them to the One Stop Center at nine o’clock in the night, but these girls remained adamant on sitting at the collectorate itself. The District Magistrate said that the girls have been sent to Kalwari police station along with women police personnel. Where the girl’s father and family members are being called and efforts are being made to solve this episode.
