Uttarakhand: Rehabilitation is going on with full planning, 145 families have been shifted to a safe place – CM Dhami

In Joshimath city of Chamoli district, the situation is continuously becoming frightening due to the landslide. Cracks are continuously increasing in people’s homes. Due to which there is an atmosphere of fear among the people. At the same time, cracks have appeared in 760 houses. However, out of all these houses, 128 houses have come under complete threat. Looking at the ever increasing cracks in the existing houses in Joshimath city, it seems that now the only option left is to rehabilitate the affected families. This is the reason why the state government has started the exercise of complete planning regarding rehabilitation.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami (CM Pushkar Singh Dhami) said that the rehabilitation action (Joshimath Rehabilitation Policy) is being done with complete planning for the affected families of Joshimath. In fact, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami had gone to Joshimath on January 11 to take stock of the conditions in Joshimath city, where he also had a night rest. During this visit, Chief Minister Dhami not only reviewed all the arrangements, but also had a meeting with the concerned officials and military officials. In such a situation, the state government is now engaged in the exercise of planning for the rehabilitation of the disaster affected families from Joshimath. So that all these affected families can be rehabilitated in a better way.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, who returned from Joshimath tour, said that the most affected families are being shifted from there to safer places. So far 145 families have been shifted to a safer place. The CM also said that immediately the amount of Rs 1.5 lakh has started being given to the affected families from Thursday. Although no house is being demolished yet, but according to the circumstances the houses are definitely being vacated. The survey team is continuously doing survey work and life is going on normally in Joshimath. Therefore, the rehabilitation of the affected families is being done with complete planning. This is a natural disaster. Therefore, taking decisions, the government is planning ahead.
